Having the financial resource of a million dollars (or its
equivalent in euros, pounds or any other currency) provides a good degree of
lasting financial security, a widened range of choices in how you spend your life, and
probably enough abundance that you can also do some nice, interesting things to help
other people (this is something we do advocate, by the way).

Money isn't everything.
We heartily agree. And it certainly isn't the "only" thing!
Spiritual wholeness, physical health, emotional peace and happiness, strong personal integrity, great relationships and the positive impact of your life on others are all vitally important areas of life. We in no way advocate neglect of these areas for the acquisition of money.
However, a healthy financial picture is also an important part of life, and money is an extremely useful resource.
If your major goal and need at present is to build up one of the previously-mentioned areas of your life, there are many specialized resources available. You may also wish to visit communities that deal with the wide spectrum of life success, such as the very popular web communities at anthonyrobbins.com or totallifesuccess.com. Millionairesville is a more specialized community for people with a specific focus on achieving financial independence.

Surely we can't all become millionaires?
By standards of previous centuries -- and even from the viewpoint of a vast number of people in the developing world -- most people in today's developed world are already very wealthy.
We live in comfortable homes, with a steady availability of nutritious food,
unprecedented health care, modern conveniences, a greatly lengthened life expectancy, a relatively peaceful existence, the advantages of education and social services, available insurance against calamity, and opportunities for financial security.
Currency is only a symbol and medium of exchange for real wealth, which is both tangible and intangible. Real wealth consists of: real estate (both land and buildings), food (at home and at restaurants), clothing, relationships (both business and personal), family, education, information, skill, equipment (including that used for business and pleasure), health, spiritual and emotional wholeness, peace of mind, clean air, clean water, transportation, fun, freedom of choice and multiple options as to how you're going to spend your time and life, and quite a few other things. (So when you're working on your million, don't lose sight of the ultimate purposes, or of the real wealth you already have!)
For all practical purposes, real wealth is pretty close to unlimited. New houses can be built, new food can be grown, knowledge can be shared, water can be purified, new inventions can be invented and new equipment can be produced. The developing world can be much more fully developed. There's even talk of how human beings could one day smash comets into Mars to make it quite a bit like earth!
The key to having an expanding amount of wealth is the creation of new wealth, rather than only shifting around what we now have. That's one of the reasons (though certainly not the only one) that we at Millionairesville talk about creating extraordinary value.
So it seems possible that we could, given the exact right circumstances, "all" become millionaires -- since real wealth is virtually unlimited.
In actual fact, the barriers to "everyone" becoming millionaires (or at least better off than we are now) probably have much more to do with attitudes, politics, values, and the ills of human nature than with a hard, immovable lack of natural resources.
Bigger than the issue of whether all of us have the potential to at least significantly improve our financial situation (and most of us do) is the simple fact that most people simply aren't likely to make the effort required to really become financially independent. And if Millionairesville were to attract a million people (!!), it would still only be a drop in the bucket of world population (one sixth-thousandth) -- and far fewer than the numbers who will already be achieving millionaire status anyway. In reality, the doors to financial independence, if not wide open, are certainly "more openable" for most of us -- if we want to open those doors, and if we take the right approaches.

Will signing up at this web site REALLY help me become a millionaire?
First, Millionairesville is not a web site, or even a web forum
-- although it includes both.
Millionairesville is a real, honest-to-goodness community. It
exists in the relationships of members with one another. Yes, things
happen mostly at a distance and often via the internet, but not entirely.
Members get to know one another, email, private message, talk on the
telephone, post in the forum, conference together, and sometimes even meet
together in person.
Second, you definitely won’t become a millionaire just by
joining this community. You will become a millionaire as you adopt the
attitudes, learn the skills, and perform the actions required -- on a
daily basis and over time -- in order for you to become a millionaire.
If you persist with dedication and creativity in your quest to become a
millionaire, you will almost certainly succeed. Astonishingly, for example, about one out of every 13
households in the United States is now a millionaire household (and this without having had
the help of Millionairesville.com!) This certainly doesn't mean that one out of every 13 persons
in the US is now a millionaire (as it refers to the entire accumulated wealth of all members of the
household) -- but still, it helps illustrate how doable it is to accumulate wealth, if you go about it in
the right ways.
And don't make the mistake of thinking that wealth accumulation is just an
American thing, either. Currently, the third and fourth wealthiest people in the entire world come
from India and Mexico respectively. They had to beat every American except for Bill Gates
and Warren Buffett to get there -- and they did.
The USA is a great place to become a millionaire. But it's FAR from the only
place. And some of the opportunities that are being born in other countries are just extraordinary. New
enterprises and new wealth are being created, on a small scale at least, even in North Korea!
In short, before you think, "It can't be done here," look around and see whether somebody's already
doing or has already done it. If they are or have, you probably can too!

Have any participants of the Millionaire Challenge actually become millionaires yet?
Without giving away any personal information, yes. I would say that more
than one community participant has passed the $1 million mark. Generally, those who've reached millionaire status so far are success-oriented individuals who were already well on their way. The Challenge didn't "make" these participants millionaires, just like it won't "make" you a millionaire -- however, it can help you get there.
Many other Challenge members have improved their lives and made
decent progress toward their goals. Becoming a millionaire is a continuous process. Some have progressed really quickly, others not as quickly, but almost all who've remained active through an entire year have made progress through the year. Those still working on their goal simply haven't reached their million-dollar mark... yet.

I'm already a millionaire, or well on my way. Why
should I join Millionairesville?
Millionairesville has members who are millionaires, members who are well on
the way to becoming millionaires, and quite a few members who are serious but still early in their millionaire quest.
The financial resource of a million dollars is a
great beginning for financial security. However, it's also true that being a
millionaire no longer makes a person really wealthy in quite the way that it
used to. For this reason, as well as for the simple reason of continued desire
to achieve, many millionaires also want help from others to support them in their
financial goals. And some will want support in related goals as well. Such
millionaires often also have a lot to offer to other members of the community,
by way of their experience.
Over time, Millionairesville will
become home to more and more current millionaires -- both as a result of
existing millionaires joining, and as a result of community members
"crossing the line" into millionairedom.

What kind of business do I have to get into to
become a millionaire? What plan or scheme do I
have to follow?
Your choice of business (or "vehicle") is entirely up to
you. We don't push one particular approach. Every individual is unique! Only you
know what you want to do, and only you may be aware of
opportunities that are accessible to you, and that fit in with your interests,
skills and aptitudes.
We've seen participants use a very broad variety of
approaches to pursue their millionaire goals. These include (for example):
- businesses providing a wide variety of products and
services
- real estate investment
- consulting
- internet businesses
- ebay
- sales
- market trading
- and other approaches.
Some
participants have had involvement in sports, games and music at professional or
semiprofessional levels. More unusual approaches (such as marrying a
millionaire!) have also been discussed.
So the field of opportunities is wide open. Please note, however, that
Millionairesville.com does NOT condone acquiring wealth by illegal or criminal
means, or other means that victimize or exploit other people. Persons using
or "pushing" such means may be asked to leave the community at the
sole discretion of the Community Facilitator. (The Facilitator also
has sole discretion to decide whether an approach meets "community
standards" or not).

How quickly can I become a millionaire?
There's no specific answer. Historically, some individuals
have managed to go from broke (or nearly so) to millionaire in a very short period of
time -- definitely less than a year.
For the vast majority of individuals, though, becoming a
millionaire takes "longer" to "considerably longer." Even many apparently rapid
rises to fortune are the fruit of years of preparation. In these cases, the saying
"it takes 20 years to become an overnight success" has often been
true. Of course, as a resident of Millionairesville you'll have some assistance that others
may not have had.
Most Millionaire Challenge participants desire to reach
their financial goals as quickly as possible. Can you become a millionaire in a
single year? It certainly doesn't hurt to try! More important, however, is the
commitment to keep going until the millionaire goal is achieved.
There are several major phases that people may go
through in the process of building wealth. Most often, the first step involves
significant changes in mindset. Once you really have and exercise the mind
of a millionaire, the rest will begin to happen.
Secondly, there are probably also new skills to be
learned. Third, you may need to stabilize or gain a better "foothold" on your
current financial situation. And although it's possible to raise capital for
business ventures by finding investors or borrowing, you might need or want
to deal with existing debts as an early step in the journey. How quickly these
issues can be worked through depends on you and your personal situation.
Of course, you can make financial progress while these are being worked
through.
Once you have a solid foundation (some who join Millionairesville will have this
already; and some will have to establish it), you'll be ready to fully work on your
"Millionaire Project." This basically consists of an idea for acquiring your million
dollars, a plan, and the successful implementation of your plan.
Only time and experience will tell how long it typically
takes a resident of Millionairesville to reach the million-dollar goal. The important
thing is to begin, and to keep going until you reach the destination.

Can I advertise my MLM or other business here?
Millionairesville.com is a mutual-support community. We are NOT a
marketplace for you to advertise your wares.
If you spam the forum or individual users, nobody will buy from you,
your posts and user account will be swiftly and permanently deleted, and
you will probably be banned from any and all future participation.
This doesn’t mean you’re totally prohibited from any
mention of your business -- in-context discussions related to your own challenges and the
mutual-support purposes of the community are fine, and so are a couple lines of general
info in your signature. Just respect others by keeping things in their proper place.
As far as something like paid advertising on the site itself goes, it's
always at least possible we could offer that at some point in the future; although that seems
fairly unlikely at this time.

Does it cost to become a resident of Millionairesville?
It's free to sign up, and we’re always looking for good
people to join the community! However, if you want to really participate as a full citizen,
you'll need to take part in the annual Millionaire Challenge. This represents a significant
investment in time, but it's a time investment that is in accordance with the goal of becoming
a millonaire.
Please note: Access to the full forum including some of the most dynamic,
helpful and important areas is restricted to members who have committed to, and who remain
active members of, the annual Millionaire Challenge. This is for the protection of all Challenge
participants. So if you want full access, get into the Challenge! Once registration for the annual
Millionaire Challenge opens, you have until January 1st to register for the next year's Challenge.
There are NO required monetary charges for ANY
Millionairesville service. Members may voluntarily contribute; however, there is no requirement
to do so. You can participate for an entire year for free, or if you have the resources and wish
to do so, you may make a contribution of any size.
Such contributions may be done as a single amount, or as a monthly
amount via PayPal, by personal check, etc. (Some people may find setting up a monthly PayPal contribution in itself a useful dynamic -- I've noticed that for some of us, if we're actually spending money on something every month -- like a gym membership, that helps maintain the ongoing commitment!)
Some members may wish to contribute up front, some may wish to contribute
along the way, some may wish to wait until late in the year and contribute on the basis of how much
benefit they feel they've gained from their Millionaire Challenge experience. Some may be unwilling,
or unable, to contribute at all. All of these are possible. Any contributions are, of course, very much
appreciated.
For the convenience of those who'd like to contribute financially, a page has been made available here.
This has to be THE single best business proposition available anywhere
on the internet. And quite possibly anywhere else, either:
If you're really serious about becoming a millionaire, we'll GIVE you the resources
you need to support you in that. The financial contribution that you give back -- if any -- is determined
by you.
Depending on how things go, we may in future make available
some premium services or resources on a paid basis. We may also create our own resources.
We may charge for some resources that are currently free. We may find a way to offer resources
for free that you would have to pay for elsewhere at the present time. In other words, we're reserving
the right to make any changes we should find helpful and necessary.

Tell me about the annual Millionaire Challenge.
You don't have to participate in the annual Millionaire Challenge
to take part and gain benefit from Millionairesville, but it's highly recommended. The annual
Challenge is a cornerstone of the Millionairesville.com community.
In the Millionaire Challenge, members commit to daily
action for an entire calendar year towards the accomplishment of their
millionaire goals. They also commit to support others who are
similarly striving to reach their goals.
The ideal and preferred goal is to do your best to become a
millionaire, or to earn a million dollars, during the space of a single
year. Needless to say, this is a really big goal, and more typically,
members will achieve financial independence during the course of multiple
years. However, it’s not impossible to become a millionaire in a
single year -- there are people who’ve done it. In any event, the ideal/
preferred goal serves as a rough guideline for how you should be thinking
as regards your Millionaire Challenge goal: You should be
thinking BIG! :-)
Joining -- and completing -- the annual Millionaire
Challenge is your key to really gaining great benefit from
Millionairesville. This is where profound personal change takes place,
where the best relationships are formed, and where the best progress is
made.
For more information, see our Challenge
page.

Is there a cost to the phone conferences and MMG
telephone meetings?
These conferences are currently available on
a FREE basis thanks to www.freeconference.com
-- but note that "FREE" only covers the cost of the
conferencing bridge; it does NOT cover the cost of your long-distance charges
(if any) to the conference phone number.
If you already have unlimited long distance in the United
States, then the conferences won't cost you a penny extra! If not, look for an
inexpensive way to dial into a US phone number (usually this number is based in
California, but not always).
In any event, you won't pay more than what it costs you for
a long-distance phone call to the United States. And with the way international phone
rates have dropped over the past several years (especially using calling cards and
other new, innovative services), there are often some surprisingly inexpensive ways
to do that.

When can I join the Millionaire Challenge? Can I join during the middle
of the year?
To some degree, you can join a Millionaire Challenge at any
time: simply join the forum, start a personal progress thread in the Incubator
section, and update your thread daily with your progress.
To be a full participant, however, you need to join in the run-up to
the beginning of the new calendar year. If you happen to miss the time window, you can
still make new friends and get your feet wet by joining the forum. It may also be possible to join
a Challenge during the year -- but only by special approval to persons who've demonstrated their
commitment through participation in the Incubator section.

Why do you ask for my name, email address &
phone number as a partcipant for the Challenge? What do you use this info for?
Think of it a bit like visiting or joining an actual club. When you
walk into a face-to-face meeting, although most people won’t meet you
for a while, you wont remain 100% anonymous for very long (at
least, hopefully not!) And usually, the leader or moderator of the
group is one of the very first people you meet.
In our case, the Community Facilitator (that would be me) uses your
personally identifiable information for the following purposes:
1) To maintain high community quality. When people are required to
submit a real name and verifiable working phone number, this goes a long
way towards filtering out the potential troublemakers. It’s also a
safeguard for existing members for the community facilitator to have such
contact info. For example, if one member were to defraud
another member in a long-distance business dealing, the dishonest member
could be tracked by authorities via the telephone number submitted at
registration. In addition, this requirement makes it more difficult for
any banned persons to return in the future under a different guise.
2) The Community Facilitator seeks to maintain a listing of
members with contact info. This allows another means to contact you if
need be. For example, if your email address is bouncing emails, or a
matter of dispute between members has arisen, the Community Facilitator
might wish to contact you via telephone. The Community Facilitator might
also contact members on occasion simply to ask how they’re doing,
whether they have any questions or need assistance, et cetera. Rare, but
not completely impossible. Might happen once or twice in a year.
This is, after all, a community.
At the present time, the existing Community Facilitator is the only
person who has access to your "real-life" information. It’s
possible we may add one or more assistant facilitators in the future; for
now, that possibility remains only that -- a future possibility.
Here’s what we don’t use your signup information for:
- We won’t pass it on to third parties, unless we should be required to
pass information on to appropriate law-enforcement authorities in the
event of an investigation. In which case, please don't sign up in the first place.
- We won’t sell your information to others.
- We won’t contact you to provide, sell or advertise goods or services. Possible exception: I might at some point in the future mention or otherwise offer exceptionally helpful materials in the context of a helpful, inspirational email that I send out occasionally to forum members who wish to receive it. Such email does get sent, on an occasional basis, which generally means "when I am inspired by a bolt of lightning." Currently this happens, on average, probably every two or three months. If it gets annoying (unlikely), you’re perfectly free to unsubscribe at any time.
- (NOTE: There is currently NO advertising of any kind in this occasional
email, and no actual plan to put any there. Just keeping possible options open!)
All rules are subject to change; if the rules change you’ll have the
opportunity to discontinue your relationship with Millionairesville.com if
you find any such changes to be disagreeable. In fact, you may discontinue
your relationship with Millionairesville.com at any time; we likewise
reserve the right to prohibit any person from joining or to bar any person
from future participation in the community, for any reason whatsoever or
for no reason at all.
Can I present myself anonymously in the forum?
Absolutely. You are required, however, to post under a nickname. In
other words, there are no "Guests" in the forum.
You are not required to divulge your real name, email address,
or telephone number to other regular members of the forum, just as you don't have to give your name and phone number to everyone when you go to most face-to-face meetings. (Often you are required to register with a conference or meeting organizer, but that's different.)
Other members can email you through the forum using
the nickname you provide; but your email address
remains completely invisible throughout this process, unless you've chosen
to share it. Similarly, telephone
conferences take place in a way that does not reveal your phone number to
other participants. (A partial number may be revealed to whoever organizes the telephone conference, which is usually the Community Facilitator or leader of the MMG).
In actual practice, just as in a real town, people often end up forming
acquaintances and small groups where names and phone numbers may be
exchanged on a person-to-person, case-by-case basis.

What about copyrights? Do you claim copyright, or license to use, posts
that I make in the forum?
Here's a personal rant: This is one thing that bugs me about a lot of forums out
on the internet: they have these little clauses that say, in effect,
"We can take anything you post in our forum and publish it and make a
few bucks off of it."
We do NOT claim copyright to anything you post in the forum, unless you’ve
been hired by Millionairesville.com and are creating or posting materials
as an employee or contractor of Millionairesville.com.
What this means is: If you should post in the forum for a year and
think, "I’ve said a lot of great stuff that I could compile into a
book," you’re free to go for it. All your posts belong to you.
You DO, however, give Millionairesville.com the license and right to
reproduce your forum posts in the forum, in the original thread where
they are posted or as they may be moved by the administrator or moderator
to a different location, in the sole discretion of the administrator or
moderators.
In other words, by submitting a post to the forum, you
give us the right to "publish" your posts in the forum, and
you agree that any such posts are subject to being moved, edited or
deleted by the administrator and/ or moderator(s).
That’s pretty straightforward.
Please note: You do NOT have the right to reproduce the posts of other
people without their permission, even though they may be posted in
your personal thread. So if you wish to publish a conversation that took
place in your progress thread or someone else’s, you’ll need to gain
permission from the other party first in order to include his or her
posts.
Why don’t you have a lot of pictures of Rolls-Royces, Ferraris,
mansions, etc., on the site?
Great question.
While some of our citizens are indeed interested in gaining enough
money to feel comfortable buying things like Rolls-Royces and large
estates at some point in the future, mostly we are currently far more
focused on the more strategic matters of wealth accumulation:
- Building cash reserves
- Getting and staying completely clear of personal debt (especially
credit card debt)
- Owning our own homes
- Building businesses and/ or adding to investments
- Gathering wealth that will work for us and help us gain lasting
financial security
- Having an abundance that we can also use to help others
Many expensive items (however nice) will most likely depreciate and
require big maintenance costs. When this happens, such purchases act as
consumers of wealth rather than contributors to it. This may not be the
best deployment of our resources.
Simply put, while we’re also committed to having fun,
we’re serious about creating lasting financial security; serious about
the ways in which we build, conserve and use financial resources.
If you're serious too, and an honest and decent
candidate for Millionairesville citizenship, we'd love to have you as part
of our community. Click here to join!
