I know that you probably knew that already, but it's good to note.
And it's also a good thing for non-challenge members to see, so that's why I'm reposting here (edited a bit) a post that I just made in someone's private thread:
| Quote: | It's really interesting to me now to see how concrete some of the progress has become for quite a few of us now. This includes people who have debt, and people who don't.
People with debt who are gradually eliminating or who have already eliminated it:
These clearly include you, me, S., P., and L. (who conquered his debt already!) Personally, I'm not progressing anywhere near as fast as S. at this, but still, it's progress (and at the current rate I should actually be out of debt within 5 months).
People who don't have obvious debt who are steadily increasing their positive net worth:
Include K., S., Y., H., T., and probably at least a couple that I've missed.
ALL of the above are steadily increasing their net worth, whether slowly or quickly, whether through the elimination of debt or through the accumulation of assets.
In other words, we're now seeing widespread "bottom-line" progress in people steadily increasing their net worth.
This includes people who've started at the very bottom, and people who had momentum when they came here.
This is FAR from the only kind of progress that's taking place, though. A few days ago I came up with a list of FIVE KINDS of progress.
The "bottom-line," "tangible" increase-in-net-worth kind of progress is the LAST type of progress, and it results from progress in the other four (underlying) areas.
There are others here who may not have reached the increase-in-net-worth stage (or who may still be seeing only tiny increases in net worth), but they're making big progress in some or all of the other 4 areas that will eventually give rise to the bottom-line results. Those include for example S. and L.
So to those guys I would say, hang in there, it's not just theory, we have some real hard evidence now that if you keep doing the kind of things you're doing, you ARE GOING to come to the place where your financial situation really begins to steadily improve. |
So, after a year and a half of "challenge," I'm fully convinced of two things:
1) The process takes time. As you might expect, dramatically improving your financial situation, particularly with a view to truly becoming financially independent, is not a 3-month project.
2) IT WORKS! _________________ Think clearly. Have the right values. Aim for the right goals. Pursue them wisely, boldly and enthusiastically. And enjoy the ride.
2010A:
1) Transform image.
2) Blood pressure reduction thru juice fasting.
3) Training & prep for higher-dollar consulting.
4) Maximize what's working best, minimize what isn't.
5) Cash gen (cc) project.
6) 09 taxes.
7 ) A whole new level of happiness. |

Hello Thanks for reading,
I am suprised at my progress and in only in the first 2 months of posting.
Following through on goals is a big part of using this forum and tracking goals. I am new to this forum (Jan 2010) Just figured out that I can post in "common areas". So here is an up to date "progress report", on my personal challenge.
I have taken an idea and developed a way that keeps me taking action on a regular basis towards a long term goal.
I have actually developed a web page, and have an active partner developing a E-business.
I kept on track with my Education.
Increased my current business just by posting goals, re-affirming them, and taking steps, which I laid out for myself in the forum.
The core group is great, personal input and many great posts. _________________ Respectfully,

Aaron, it's great to see your progress! And it's great to have to you participating here.
Thanks for bumping this thread that I last posted to almost 4 years ago.
I have long since emerged from my own debt. It took me about 6 weeks longer than I projected in the message above (about 6-1/2 months rather than 5 months).
But after 7 years of being continuously in debt, we emerged from debt on December 30, 2006.
And our financial situation in 2007 was definitely improved over 2006. Since then we have been slowly gaining ground and are now poised, I believe, for a major financial advance.
We've also seen improvements in other areas as well. This year so far (2010) I've also seen a really big advance in the health arena. And other areas of well being (relationships, happiness) are also doing well and growing.
And I remain convinced of what I wrote above, almost 4 years ago. Dramatically improving your life can take effort and time. But the process we've been doing here, over time, works. _________________ Think clearly. Have the right values. Aim for the right goals. Pursue them wisely, boldly and enthusiastically. John,
Yes, It is a process, and the more I do it, the easier it becomes. It is starting to be a pleasure to post my goals and progress, (I can see where I was when I look back on my posts). For me, in the past the goals at the end of the rainbow are one thing, and the travel was another, Now I appreciate the travel much more, infact I know now that even after I reach my 1,000,000$ goal, I will continue to make progress down the path of success. _________________ Respectfully,

The process of working on my Millionaires Dream and taking the Millionaires Challenge seriously continues to work.
Not an overnight transformation, small changes daily.
I have not given this "public thread" much attention, I have been focused on reaching my personal goals, and getting many of them done.
The private threads in this forum have been great for my personal motivation, accountability (to myself), and a for tracking my progress, analyzing my choices, and determining which of my efforts are most beneficial to me.
Personal growth has given me the ability to achieve greater goals.
Thanks again for visiting Millionaires Challenge. I look forward to personal discussions in the Millionaires Challenge members Area. _________________ Respectfully,
